Rasheeda S. Liberty, International President of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Named an Ambassador of the Women's Suffrage National Monument Foundation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation is honored to announce the appointment of Rasheeda S. Liberty, International President of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., to the Foundation’s Council of Ambassadors. As an Ambassador, President Liberty joins a distinguished and growing group of renowned leaders and luminaries who champion the Foundation in its work to build a monument in Washington, D.C. memorializing the early American movement for women’s equality, including actresses Rosario Dawson and Retta, documentarian Ken Burns, Olympian Aly Raisman, and more.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was founded on November 12, 1922 on the campus of Butler University in Indianapolis by Seven African-American Women Educators. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated has welcomed more than 100,000 collegiate and professional women from every profession. The sorority has more than 500 chapters in the United States, Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Ghana, Germany, South Korea, U.S. Virgin Islands, the United Arab Emirates and most recently Japan.
